2.1 Account Information
When you create a Taptiva account, we may collect:
- Username
- Email address
- Password or password credentials
- Account creation date and related account information
We do not require users to provide government-issued identification, BVN, NIN, passport information, or other KYC documents to create or use a Taptiva account.
2.2 Transaction Information
When you purchase airtime or mobile data through Taptiva, we may collect and retain information associated with the transaction, including:
- Lightning invoice information
- Lightning payment identifier
- Amount of Bitcoin paid, including the amount in satoshis
- Payment status
- Transaction status
- Airtime or data amount purchased
- Recipient telephone number
- Mobile network/provider
- Transaction date and time
This information is necessary to process transactions, maintain transaction records, provide support, investigate failed or pending transactions, and prevent fraud or abuse.
2.3 Support Chat Information
Taptiva provides in-app customer support.
If you contact us through the support chat, we collect and store the information contained in your support conversation.
Support conversations may be accessed by authorized Taptiva support staff where necessary to investigate issues, respond to requests, resolve disputes, improve customer service, or maintain the security and integrity of our services.
Please do not send passwords, private keys, seed phrases, recovery phrases, or other highly sensitive credentials through the support chat.
2.4 Device and Technical Information
When you use Taptiva, we may collect technical information associated with your device and use of our services, including information such as:
- Application version
- Push notification token
- Crash and diagnostic information
- Security and authentication information
- Information about how the application interacts with our services

2.5 Notifications
If you enable push notifications, Taptiva and its service providers may process a device push-notification token so that we can send you notifications relating to your account and transactions.
You can manage notification permissions through your device settings.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
Taptiva does not require users to submit KYC information.
We do not require you to provide:
- Government-issued identity documents
- BVN
- NIN
- Passport information
- Facial biometric information
Taptiva also does not take custody of your Bitcoin.
When you purchase a service using Bitcoin Lightning network, Taptiva generates a Lightning invoice for the applicable amount. You pay that invoice directly from your own Lightning wallet.
Taptiva does not hold, custody, or control your Bitcoin, Lightning wallet, private keys, seed phrase, or recovery phrase.

7. Bitcoin Lightning Transactions
Taptiva uses the Bitcoin Lightning Network as a payment mechanism for its services.
When you initiate a purchase, Taptiva may generate a Lightning invoice containing the amount required for the transaction.
You are responsible for paying the invoice from your own Lightning wallet.
Taptiva does not control your Lightning wallet and does not have access to your private keys, seed phrase, or recovery phrase.
Because Lightning transactions are designed to operate differently from conventional card or bank transactions, payment reversals and refunds may not operate in the same manner as card or bank payments.
Information associated with Lightning payments may be retained as part of your transaction history and for accounting, support, security, and legal purposes.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing services, maintaining transaction records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud, maintaining security, complying with legal obligations, and establishing or defending legal claims.

We do not knowingly permit persons under 18 to create or use Taptiva accounts.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a person under 18 without an appropriate lawful basis, we may take reasonable steps to delete that information and terminate the associated account, subject to applicable legal obligations.
